The purpose of this presentation builds on topics introduced last year; understanding what it means to be mindful – for ourselves, our colleagues, and the students we work with – and how to communicate our appreciation to others for their effort. The world around us is unpredictable and we’ve had to learn new ways of communicating and staying in touch with those who keep us grounded. It is especially important now to find ways to effectively communicate our appreciation – for our own mental health, and those we interact with – and acknowledge those who help relieve the stress or burdens we face day-to-day.
